Besides the kick-ass album cover paying respects to classic Rosie The Riveter's "We Can Do It!" campaign poster, Chanelle Kazadi keeps it old school and 100% real.
Starting off with the title track "Superheroes," released back in March of this year, Chanelle takes us through her childhood pains and the negativity she felt. Eventually turning all that pain into positive energy. Perfectly representing the album as a whole. Pure empowering energy.
Lyrics such as...
"Picture me at 15 getting treated like a burden, accept it for what it is, now I feel no one can hurt.."
"How you gonna win, when you ain't right within?"
Hit really close to home and really showed the true inspiration and heart that went into this project.
Besides the empowerment that bleeds through Chanelle Kazdi's "Make It Work" album, there is no denying the is a high-quality album. High quality in sound, creativity, and lyricism.
Her track "Two Cents" is really just another great track that is perfect for almost every single Fugitive out there and anyone working towards their dreams.
"Keep your two cents you probably need it more than me, I've always made it worked, you gave up on your dream.."
really puts a positive light on the struggle of being different from the rest. A good motivation to the listener to keep on doing what they love.
Chanelle Kazadi's "Make It Work" is a cohesive and versatile album full of empowerment. With 8 tracks and no skips. It is definitely worth the listen.
