Longboystyle: Producer of the Year?

If you haven’t heard of Longboystyle this year, then you must live under a rock, but don’t worry, we’re about to put you on!

Young, Canadian, and Talented are just few words to describe the young Ontario producer. In this year alone Longboystyle has grown tremendously, working with big underground names like Wavehi, Wherei$mez, and more. Collectively racking up over 180k streams on tracks he’s produced this year alone.

His latest work with Wavehi and Prvnci, “Pitbull,” has racked up 121k view alone on YouTube. Honestly, my favorite part of the this beat is the creative and intricate sounds added to raise intensity, such as the little random beep that comes on ever few seconds. It’s so addicting.

Earlier this week, we linked up with the young producer to lear more about him and his journey to greatness:

When did you start making music?

“I started experimenting with music as early as 12 years old. I started transcending to rap and hip hop beats when I started high school at 14. That has been my style from then on.”

He continued...

“Music has always been around me whether it would be my dad playing some heavy metal, my mom cooking while enjoying some classical music, or my grandmother dancing to traditional Israeli music. I've always been inspired by all the genres I grew up listening to develop and find my own sound. And thankfully, I've gotten to work with some amazing underground artists/producers from many parts of the world.”

What is your favorite part of the music process?

“I'd say it would be the artist listening to the actual outcome. It's a nice moment for them to vibe with the instrumental and then give constructive criticism. That makes for a grand result when it comes time to release the track.”

What keeps you going as a producer?

“I don't want to toot my own horn but I get a generous amount of DMs showing support when I post something or when I'm feeling blue. It gives me the drive to continue working with other people and putting myself out there in the underground spectrum.... "Pitbull" is my first track to hit 100k views on YouTube. It showed that I have what it takes to get high numbers with my productions and that sooner or later, those numbers will turn into millions.”

Do you have any upcoming projects?

“I have a song coming on December 12th with Wavehi and TikTok legend, Lil Altoid. This has some high potential, so to all the viewers and fans, get ready!”

Longboystyle took 2020 by its throat and said “you can’t f*ck with me.” It’s been a great year for him and we can honestly say that he’s arguably one of the best producers this year.

His next project is just around the corner and with Wavehi and Lil Altoid as the rockstars of the track, we are expecting the track to hit some major milestones.

Stick around for Longboystyle’s next track and make sure to check out “Pitbull” down below!
